Dear Business Partner, The Law No. 7538 on the Amendment of the Social Insurances and General Health Insurance Law and Certain Other Laws was published in the Official Gazette dated January 15, 2025, No. 32783, and entered into force.
Summary: Changes have been made to the 5-point premium discount granted to private sector employers for the long-term insurance premiums payable to SGK.
Accordingly, the 5-point insurance premium discount granted to private sector employers for disability, old-age, and death insurance premiums payable to SGK will be applied as 4 points starting from February 1, 2025 (with the February 2025 declaration).
However, if the workplace operates in the manufacturing sector (i.e., the NACE code corresponds to manufacturing), the discount will continue to be applied as 5 points until December 31, 2026.
In addition, the President is authorized to extend the 5-point discount application for workplaces operating in the manufacturing sector until December 31, 2027.
